Why do taps and showers get white marks?

Hard water contains minerals. When the water dries, these minerals leave white marks on taps, showers and glass.

To reduce them, wipe taps and showers dry after use and clean them once a week with a hard water stain cleaner. Read the label and test on a small spot first.
