An easy Diwali cleaning plan: where to start

Diwali cleaning is easier when you follow a plan:

1. Top to bottom: start with lights, ceiling fans and shelves, then tables, and finish with the floor.
2. Kitchen first: clean the slab, tiles and the area around the stove to remove oil and grease.
3. Bathroom: spray tiles, basin and taps, wait a little, then wipe.
4. Glass and mirrors: clean these near the end so dust does not settle again.
5. Floor last: mop once everything else is done.

Before using any cleaner, read the label and test on a small hidden spot.
